What is your sports background?

I grew up playing basketball and baseball mainly. I started playing baseball in Little League and  I started  playing basketball when I was 13. Funny thing is, I actually ended up being really good at basketball though I technically wasn’t taught the fundamentals. Played baseball, football, basketball and ran track in high school. By my senior year of high school, I dropped football (got my bell rung during a game, decided I was too frail for all that!), dropped baseball, stopped running track and concentrated on just enjoying basketball. I ended up getting a basketball scholarship to play in college.  Played four years!

Tell us how you first started modeling?
Well I had never really thought about modeling. I always thought I was too tall and I thought you had to start when you were 19. I had a few friends who modeled for Sport Unlimited at the time, and they had always encouraged me to try it out. I couldn’t see myself posing for cameras and stuff. Well my twin sister finally convinced my to submit my information and the rest is history!
Out of all the jobs you’ve done, what was the most fun?
I have had the chance to do a lot of work, but the most fun I had was shooting for Timberland in New Hampshire, and in Worcester, Mass. They had hired 4 bands and about 100 extras to have us jump of a stage and crowd surf for our photo shoot! It felt like I was hired to attend and outdoor concert where I was allowed to be obnoxious. No wonder people wanna be rock stars, it was great. I left that shoot exhausted.

Out of all the places you’ve gotten to travel for modeling, what was your favorite and why?
It may be a bit cliche’ but I got booked for a job in Las Vegas, and though I have been there many times, being able to travel with some of my favorite models to work with, made it the most fun. We were there  2 1/2 days and we pretty much just hung out and played sports and enjoyed the city. Fun times.
What is it you like most about modeling?
I like modeling because it allows me to be involved in a world that I have no skills to otherwise be involved in. It has a dramatic (acting) element to it, and I have developed some amazing connections through modeling.

How often do you work out?
I work out a minimum of 5-6 times a week. I allow my body a recovery day so I don’t over do it.

What is your favorite workout?
I still work out like I am playing basketball in college. A lot of running and sprints. Light weights. A lot of standing around looking at people. Haha.  No seriously, I work up a sweat consistently.
Do you have a special diet?
My diet consists of eating one thing; Food. Lol. No, I do watch what eat, and I try and drink as much water as possible. I stay away from fatty food and try to eat as much fruits, vegetables and protein as possible. But I’m not overly health  conscious.

If you could give new aspiring models one tip, what would it be?

Be courteous and respect peoples times. I always make it a point to introduce myself, hang my clothes up, leave promptly and generally be positive. I think courtesy takes you along way. If  I could give another tip, it would be: don’t be afraid of rejection. I’ve been passed over for bookings for things I had in the bag. But it always evens itself out.
